Town Council’s financial activity for the year 2007/08

committees.
At the end of the year
the council’s balances
stood at £927,428.
Of this, £570,029
represented funds
available for general
use, and £357,399
represented funds
earmarked for specific
projects.
More detailed
information on their
income and expenditure
is given to the spending
committees throughout
the year and can be seen on the
agendas for their meetings or by calling
at the council office.
The council’s accounts for 2007/08
were on the public agenda for the
meeting of Resources & General
Services Committee on 25 June, where
they were approved.
The public’s rights to inspect the
accounts before the audit is carried out
has been advertised on the council’s
noticeboards and website.
The papers have now been sent to
the council’s external auditor, the Audit
Commission. The accounts can still be
seen on the council’s web site under
Strategic Documents and Policies.
