R & G S Committee member

I have lived all my married life in Loughton and have seen many changes, not all for the better. I feel passionately about my home town and the people who live here. To this end I would welcome comments and queries when things appear to be going awry.
Both my children were educated in Loughton and I am a governor at Roding Valley High School. I have always had an interest in young people having been involved in Girl Guiding since the age of seven. I am an active member of Loughton Methodist Church.

Recreation Committee Chairman, R & G S Committee Vice-chairman

I was elected to Loughton Town Council in 1996 and have been a member for the last 12 years. I served as chair of the council in 2001/02 and as town mayor in 2007/08. I have also served on the Finance and General Purposes Committee (now Resources and General Services Committee) and the Community Committee (now Recreation Committee) and have been the chair of the latter for several years.
I am the Town Council appointee to Staples Road Infant School Governing Body, a member of Loughton Residents Association and have helped to run the Loughton Farmers Market for several years.
Outside of council work, my main interests are English Folk dancing and I am a member of Girlguiding UK as the guider for 6th Loughton Rainbows.

E & H Committee member, Recreation Committee member

I am retired from our family business and have nine grandchildren. I first came to Loughton in 1969 and then returned in 1998.
I was an LRA District Councillor between 2002-2004 and 2006-2008 and believe that Loughton is an ideal place to live, combining the convenience of an urban area with good transport links and delightful countryside close by.
Being a Town Councillor is the best way to defend all that is good about Loughton.
