I have lived in Loughton for over 40 years.
Graduating in electrical engineering I became a broadcast engineer with the BBC, achieved Chartered Engineer status and retired as Head of Resources for the SE Region prior to becoming a General Manager of an electronics company and latterly a consultant working for a charitable trust working in developing countries.
I am a Science Ambassador for Essex schools, promoting interest in engineering as a career, and I am deputy chair of Governors of Staples Road Junior School as well as a District and Town Councillor.
My hobbies include badminton, swimming and photography.
I have two children, one living locally, the other in America, and six grandchildren, four of whom attend local schools.

I have lived in Loughton since 1965 with my husband, who died in August 2003. I have worked as a Personal Assistant to the Cost Accountant in a large office in Loughton and as secretary to the Executive of a ships suppliers accounts department over a period of 10 years.
I have been a committee member of the Essex Wildlife Trust – Epping Forest Group for over 25 years and a Tree Warden for more than 10 years, being its co-ordinator for over 5 years.
I have enjoyed serving as a Town Councillor since I was first elected in 2004.

Recreation Committee member

I have lived in Loughton since 1959 and teach at one of the town’s secondary schools – Roding Valley High School.
I have been elected as a Loughton Councillor since 1982 and also currently serve in the following community roles: a member of the Alderton Junior School Governing Body, a member of the Roding Valley Nature Reserve Management Committee, Chairman of the Royal Forest Scout Council, President of Epping Forest MENCAP, Chairman of the Oakwood Hill Senior Citizens Club, Trustee of the Loughton branch of the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Any spare time is spent long distance running and following the fortunes of Leyton Orient Football Club.

I have lived in Loughton since I was 2 years old and attended local schools. My varied working life includes over 30 years in the water industry where I developed an interest in staff welfare issues, served as a Trade Union Representative and sat on my company’s staff council.
Interested in football, I have played for several local clubs and managed one of Loughton Football Club’s youth teams for 9 years. Other interests include membership of the Loughton & District Historical Society and Friends of Epping Forest. I also enjoy walking and travelling and visiting museums and art galleries.
A Town Councillor since 2004, I have served as Chairman of the Recreation Committee 2007-08 and Chairman of the Planning and Licensing Committee 2008-09. I was elected as District Councillor for Fairmead Ward in May 2008. I have also been a School Governor at White Bridge Junior School since 2004.
