Loughton Residents Association
Judy was first elected to the Town Council in 2012 as Councillor for Fairmead Ward.
In 2015 she was elected as Mayor of Loughton and had the great honour of serving the community in this office.
Judy now serves on the Town Council as Chair of the Resources Committee.
In 2016 Judy was elected as the Town and District Councillor for
St Mary’s Ward.
On the District Council she is Chair of the Licensing Sub-Committee and Vice- Chair of the Licensing Committee.
She also serves as an EFDC liaison member on the Citizens Advice Trustees Board and on the Epping Forest District Council Liaison Meetings with the City of London.
She was recently invited to join the Local Government Association as a Member Peer and as Lead Peer for the East of England to support other councillors in the area.
Now she sits on the Children and Young People Board of the LGA
Judy has lived in the same house in York Hill for over 30 years and knows and loves the area well.
She would like to see a diverse High Street that is full of character making Loughton a vibrant and exciting place to visit and shop.
She has taken a particular interest in helping with planning issues and parking, and in helping adults and children with social and educational needs.
She is especially interested in the education and welfare of children, in protecting and conserving the environment and in preserving our local amenities and green spaces.
She believes the Loughton Town Council embodies all that is best about providing local support for our community in Loughton.
