Essex Playing Fields Awards
Published: 26 October 2018
Loughton Town Council is once again the proud recipient of a
number of awards for the high standard of maintenance at its open spaces and
play areas.
At last evening’s
presentations in Chelmsford, Cllr David Wixley, chairman of the council’s
Recreation Committee, received the following awards from Lord Petre, Patron of
the EPFA, and Essex County Council Chairman, John Jowers:
Overall winner of the Best Kept Playing Field for the Roding
Valley Recreation Ground;
Gold awards for both the Newmans Lane and Westall Road play areas;
and
Silver award for the Traps Hill play area.
These awards recognise the hard work of
the council staff, its contractors and the volunteers who assist with the daily
litter pickings.
We particularly thank the Grounds Maintenance
Team at Epping Forest District Council for their endeavours that keep the large
Roding Valley Recreation Ground looking tidy all year round.
