2019 Christmas Card Competition

Four £25 gift cards are waiting to be won! Everyone, whatever their age, can enter the Town Council’s annual competition to design its official 2019 Christmas card. Original designs can be submitted as a drawing, painting or photograph; they must be Christmas-themed, of A5 size (portrait or landscape orientation) and can be in colour or black and white.

To be eligible participants must have a connection to Loughton; live, work or go to school/college in the town. There are four different entry categories covering infant, junior and secondary school years, as well as adults.

The closing date is Wednesday 13 November 2019.

The competition will be judged promptly after the closing date by the Town Mayor and Deputy Town Mayor. Here is a list of the criteria:

Ø Overall artistic appeal

Ø Quality of execution

Ø Creativity and originality

Ø Suitability for printing as a greeting card

Presentations to the winners will be made in Loughton Library at the Council meeting on Wednesday 11 December 2019.

An exhibition of the winning designs alongside a selection of the best entries will be displayed in Loughton Library at Traps Hill and Debden Library, inside Epping Forest College on Borders Lane, during December and the beginning of January.
