2020 Christmas Card Competition

Our congratulations go to the overall winner of this year’s Christmas Card Competition, Leah Chowdhry, who was the Junior Category winner too. Leah’s design was used for the official Christmas card of the Town Council, while the other category winners and runners-up had their designs included on the reverse of the card.

Each Category winner received a £25 gift card and signed certificate; and the runners-up of each category also received a certificate signed by the Town Mayor. Our thanks go to all those that entered the competition. The Council received just under 150 entries this year, which was fantastic following all the difficulties of the Covid 19 situation.

Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and latest Government restrictions, entries were unable to be displayed in the libraries and the Council was unable to make its usual presentation of the prizes to the winners at the Council meeting held in December. However, Councillors were determined the competition would go ahead due to its popularity, particularly among the schoolchildren of Loughton.
