PRESS RELEASE

ANNUAL TOWN MEETING

We invite local residents to join us at the Annual Town Meeting at 8pm on Wednesday, 16 March 2022, in The Murray Hall, at 106 Borders Lane, Loughton IG10 3SB.

The hall doors open at 7.30pm to allow residents ample time to view the displays mounted by a number of local voluntary organisations before the formal meeting commences at 8pm.

The meeting agenda will follow the usual format with reports from the Town Mayor and Chairmen about the Council’s activities and achievements during the past year and its on-going plans for the future. This will be followed by a question and answer session which allows residents to express their views and ask questions about issues in the town.

There will also be a presentation of awards to the Citizen of the Year and the Loughton Building Design Awards.

Representatives from local groups, organisations and charities that were successful in their grant applications will receive certificates to mark their achievement.

After the meeting, light refreshments will be served and there will be time for residents to have an informal chat with their councillors.

Note to editor:
