PRESS RELEASE
Town Mayor’s Treasure Hunt – Sunday 23 April 2023
On Sunday 23 April, residents of Loughton were invited to take part in a Treasure Hunt which took place from The Lopping Hall and took in places of interest in the High Road, Loughton.
Our thanks go to all the residents who came along and took part on what was a very enjoyable morning. We also thank Cathy Naylor, Chairman and Jean Cooper from Loughton Amateur Dramatic Society, and Stephen O’Brien from Loughton Karate Club for all their support.
The winning teams, led by Lynn Marsh and Liz Adams both completed the hunt in 48mins and answered all questions correctly and received a prize from LADS of 2 x tickets to one of their future productions and books on walks around Loughton and Epping Forest.
We are pleased to report that monies raised from the entrance fee was given to the Loughton Town Mayor’s chosen charity, Lopping Hall to go towards the installation of an air conditioning unit which will benefit all users of this lovely, refurbished building. Please contact Lopping Hall Manager for all hall hire enquiries.
