Local Elections 2024

Local elections will be held on 2 May 2024. Following a review in 2022, by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, changes have been made to the number of both District and Parish Wards for Loughton.

Loughton Town Council will now consist of nine local wards, instead of the current seven, creating new wards of Loughton Debden and Loughton Whitebridge. The full list of local wards and the number of councillors for each ward is set out below:

Epping Forest District Council will have a reduction for Loughton District Wards from seven to five, one of these District Wards, Loughton Whitebridge will incorporate part of Buckhurst Hill East (not the parish ward as indicated in the Spring issue Think Loughton article on page 10). Each ward will be represented by 3 councillors, the new District Wards are listed below:

Loughton Fairmead

Loughton Forest

Loughton Roding

Loughton St John’s

Buckhurst Hill East & Whitebridge
