Debden Broadway PSPO Consultation
Take part in the Epping Forest District Council Public Spaces Protection Order consultation to help the council reduce anti-social behaviour in Debden Broadway.
Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) introduced a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in January 2024, giving EFDC officers and police additional powers in parts of Debden to tackle anti-social behaviour, including:
- Loitering
- Begging
- Open alcohol
- Fly-posting
- Nuisance behaviour involving bikes, scooters and skateboards
This current PSPO remains in place until January 2027. In preparation for then, the council is asking residents, visitors and business owners to give their views on extending the PSPO for a further 3 years.

Making a difference
Everyone is welcome to complete this survey. We especially encourage Debden residents, business owners and regular visitors to The Broadway to have their say.
Since the introduction of this PSPO in 2024, EFDC officers have built stronger relationships with the residents and business owners of Debden. We can see it is making a difference and has helped reduce anti-social behaviour incidents of anti-social behaviour on The Broadway and be more proactive within the community.

If you need to report anti-social behaviour anywhere in the Epping Forest district, such as an abandoned vehicle, fly tipping, noise nuisance, graffiti, hate crime, etc.
